Today, I filled out the paperwork for Christian to go to Head Start here on base. We tried getting him into the preschool at the elementary school, but it's based on need there...I'm happy to report that he's too smart for their program. So, while he didn't make it into their program, I'm glad that he's smart!
There's a Head Start program here on base that we're trying to get him into...hopefully! We'll have to play the waiting game until the director calls or we get a letter in the mail notifying us. Keep our fingers crossed!
After filling out all the paperwork needed, driving home I got stopped by Security here on base for a random vehicle inspection. In the process of them checking out my record and making sure I had insurance...one of the officers informed me that my license was suspended! (Trust me, I was just as surprised) After a few seconds of me searching my brain frantically trying to recount the last few years of my life...the officer started laughing and told me that he was just kidding and that everything was fine and I was free to go! He then told me to go home and drink and drive...it would be on him. Right...I'm not that dumb!

Has it really been this long?
I didn't realize it had been almost 4 months since I last blogged. I guess when you find yourself really unhappy, it's hard to do the things you like most...even blogging. Sniff, sniff.
Things are going much better now...Brooklyn turned 2 in March and Shane is home...finally! He made it home on May 13, which just happened to be 4 days before our 5 year wedding anniversary! Yeah for us!!! He told me that he was supposed to come home last week, but because he told the command in Afghanistan that he had to be home before our anniversary, they granted him that week early! As much as I dispise the Navy sometimes, there are still some great people that try to help you as much as possible. Thank you to whoever saw fit to bring my hubby home for our anniversary!
Now he's off for a month and home with us. It's weird going back to having him here with us and it's taken a little adjustment for us to remember how things work with both of us. Anyway, that's about all that's new for us! Hopefully, it won't be another 4 months before I decide to write again...and...I'm happy to announce that I'm not having to take sleeping pills anymore. Shane coming home was an instant fix for me...woo hoo! Talk about someone affecting another huh?!?

Christian hugging his baby sister!

Hot chocolate is so yummy!!!

Christian can't keep the hot chocolate off his little nose...can you find it?
