Ok...here's the scoop. Head Start is a government funded program...it's based on financial income to determine how much you pay per month, or if you do. Way back in May, the director said we made too much, but that it would be fine because they would use some deductions and Christian could go there without any "tuition," if you will.
Mid-August when I found out that he was accepted to the program, I didn't even recheck to see how the financial implications would pan out. Guess I should have so that TUESDAY of this week, TWO WEEKS after he started school, I wouldn't get a phone call saying that we're going to have to start paying for him to attend.
I wasn't upset by it, until I talked with the secretary in the office who told me that for him to continue, I would need to send a check in for $121.33. Not too bad, I thought until she said, every 2 weeks. Then, I was mad. Not only did they expect this money by the next business day, they gave me less than 3 hours to talk it over with Shane!
The next morning, I get a phone call from the woman at the program office in Toomsuba saying that they needed our 1040 to complete his application!
HELLO!! Have you not had over 3 freakin' months to get all this information from me?! Anyway, after that, I decided that I wasn't even going to take my time to track down my information and fax it over to them...
The only good thing about this is...I don't have to get up early anymore...oh yeah, and my son gets to stay home with me too! Just kidding, he's the only perk!

Oh no, this sucks! Is there any other school you can enroll him in? In your last post you'd said he was really excited about it - is he doing okay with the change? I'm so sorry about all this. But at least you have your sweet boy back home! :) xoxox Love you and miss you!
