Big boy

I've known that someday the day would come when Christian spent his first night away from home with a friend...I just didn't know it would come when he was only 3. Yes, tonight, Christian is going to attempt to stay the night with his friend Justin at our neighbors house. We live in a duplex sort of thing, only the houses are attached at the carport instead of the house, so it's not like he's incredibly far away, but still. It's also different from when he stayed the night with Grandma because that's family.

I'm proud of him though for wanting his independence and a little reluctant to let go. I know it has to happen and everything will go "swimmingly," but I'm going to miss him. I was joking around with Justin's Mom, Sheila telling her that this will be my first night of sleeping through since Brooklyn was born! Yes, Brooklyn has been sleeping through the night for the last couple of weeks. I've been a little hesitant to write about it or tell anyone for that matter because I don't want it to end.

Anyhow, today we got the kids their first little Power Wheels car. It's a Pontiac Solstice...really cool. Got pictures and kids in it too!




Justin is the other little man in the car with Christian. They decided after the car's battery was charged that they were going to race Justin's John Deere Gator and Christian's car to see who's was faster. Now they just have to wait until morning, and so does this mommy to see her little boy once again.
