Multi-tasking to a new level!

Many of us know how many things that Mothers go through, but you never really realize how much they do until you become one. Even babysitting doesn't come close (I'm sorry, but I never worked this hard babysitting - ever). While I was still living in California, I was listening to the radio talk about how much stay-at-home mothers would make if they got paid for the work they did. I can't remember the exact amount, but I know it was six digits. Until yesterday, I hadn't thought much about it since that day. Well, MSN had a story on it yesterday about how much stay-at-home moms would make, once again, I was intrigued.

Here is the exact headline...

The price of a mom: $138,095.

I was amazed once again. In reading the article, they said that working mothers would bring in another almost $86,000 for the work that they do on top of mothering! Both figures account for overtime that the mothers would be paid. They only included the 10 jobs that mother's would be doing, including...housekeeper, day care center teacher, cook, computer operator, laundry machine operator, janitor, facilities manager, van driver, CEO and psychologist. I couldn't believe that...if only I could get paid!

I love my children and every day that I get to spend with them is a blessing, but to be paid for it too, that would make it even better! So, with that said...here's a tribute to all you Mothers out there...working and not, thank you for the great job that you are doing or have done. We children appreciate all that you do, even though we may not tell you all that often. Happy early Mother's Day!
